"Franklin Park, a small town feel with a world at its touch"

Franklin Park was incorporated in August 4, 1892. The Village of Franklin Park has changed dramatically since those early days when there were grassy fields, dirt roads and farmland as far as the eye could see. Good location and easy access to O'Hare Airport cargo terminals, railroad freight terminals, major expressways for routing, and spur tracks accessing the rear of buildings have made Franklin Park a desirable place for industry. In 1990, Franklin Park annexed 65 acres and was the fourth largest industrial area in Illinois. As of the 2000 census, Franklin Park had a population of 19,800.

Franklin Park is proud of a new Veteran's Memorial, bearing over 1000 names of men and women who have served in the armed forces.

Franklin Park s history began with optimism and enthusiasm and the village today is driven by the same optimism and enthusiasm. A community proud of its past and committed to an even greater future.

Franklin Park is located approximately is located approximately 20 miles from downtown Chicago and five miles from O'Hare International Airport.
